WCAG 2.2 AA
Accessibility statement
A site that cannot be used with a keyboard, or that becomes illegible once the text is enlarged, is a broken site. This objective was set at the design stage, not added at the end.
1. Commitment
SAURON LTD is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with visual, motor, hearing or cognitive disabilities.
The reference standard adopted is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA. Although the company is a micro-enterprise and does not fall among the entities subject to obligations under the legislation transposing Directive (EU) 2019/882, it has chosen to adopt that standard nonetheless.
2. Technical measures adopted
- Colour contrast — All colour combinations have been checked. Body text exceeds a ratio of 4.5:1 and interface elements a ratio of 3:1, in both the light and the dark theme.
- Keyboard navigation — Every function can be reached and activated from the keyboard, in a traversal order consistent with the visual order. A “Skip to content” link is the first element on the page.
- Focus indicator — Focus is always visible, with a high-contrast outline offset from the edge, and is never removed.
- Motion — All animations respect the system “reduce motion” preference: where it is active, transitions are set to zero. No content flashes and no animation repeats indefinitely.
- Semantic structure — Headings follow a correct hierarchy with no skipped levels, landmarks are marked up semantically and the language of every page is declared.
- Alternative text — Informative images carry alternative text; purely decorative elements are hidden from assistive technologies.
- Target size — Interactive controls have an area of at least 44 × 44 pixels.
- Zoom and reflow — Content remains legible and usable at up to 200% text zoom and on narrow screens, with no horizontal scrolling.
- Forms — Every field has a programmatically associated label, errors are described in words and announced to assistive technologies, and are never conveyed by colour alone.
- Operation without JavaScript — Content remains legible and navigation remains usable even where JavaScript is not executed.
3. Conformance status
The site is declared partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. This statement is based on a technical self-assessment carried out during development and not on an independent third-party audit.
An independent audit may be commissioned at a later stage; the outcome will be published on this page.
4. Non-accessible content and known limitations
- Attached documents — Any documents published in PDF format in future may not be fully accessible. An accessible alternative version will be supplied on request.
- Bulgarian localised letterforms — The typefaces used do not include the Bulgarian localised variants of Cyrillic (the locl BGR feature). Some letters in the Bulgarian version are therefore rendered in their Russian forms — legible, but not optimal. A replacement is under consideration.
- Third-party content — The site does not currently embed third-party content. Should any be introduced in future, its accessibility could not be guaranteed directly.
5. Reports and response procedure
Anyone who encounters a barrier to access, or who cannot find a piece of information, may report it by writing to info@sauronltd.com or by telephoning +39 391 763 1415.
When reporting, it is helpful to state the page concerned, the problem encountered and — where possible — the device, the browser and any assistive technology in use.
The company undertakes to respond within 15 working days and, where the correction requires longer, to state a deadline and in the meantime to supply the requested information in an accessible alternative format.
